Over a thousand souls of all ages, socijal and intellectual variety ,gathered in the Ensemble for Maintenance of Serbian folklore - Gradac from Valjevo, as much as they danced so much they were and remained in a specifie, hard but wortwile mision. In fact, in the years of unprecedented technological progress, when computers are instaled even in hals, to keep, with no disc, from oblivion and dampaness Serbian original folklore and customs is an entirely serious and responsible job. Lickily, it has been the credo of every member and of the whole company since the first day. That is why it is in the least inmodest to conclude that the complete activitty of this Ensemble was someting MORE THAN DANCING
As events turned out, in the last twenty years, Ensamble Gradac, in a few occasions, took the role of an ambassador and a most direct deputy of its homeland in the international community. Of course, not in its forums but at its citizens and repectable and influental people of those countries. They also danced and sang in the moments when the circumstances were endangered by various spectres of destruction. But, the heroes of this story at the same time knew for sure that sence, good will and love are the strongest internal forces which exsist in the man. They knew that they only are able to strike back at every evil and to protect honesty, modesty and humaneness - the most precious Christian virteus, embeded deep in the existence f Serbian genus.
